La Liga Transfer News: Chelsea to miss out on Morata, Verratti unconvinced by Barcelona
LA LIGA trio Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are busy planning their summer transfer business. Express Sport brings you the latest news.
Marco Verratti scores contentious goal for PSG
Chelsea could miss out on Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata, reports claim.
The Spain international looked set to join Manchester United but their decision to go for Romelu Lukaku has seemingly ended their pursuit.
Chelsea wanted Lukaku but Express Sport understands Morata is now their No1 target instead.
However, Spanish outlet Don Balon claims the striker has received a fresh offer on the table.
Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in snapping him up, and are hellbent on making him the face of their new-look side.
However, Morata could take some persuading given he spent two years in Italy with their fierce rivals, Juventus.
Paris Saint-Germain star Marco Verratti is unconvinced by life at Barcelona under new boss Ernesto Valverde, according to reports.
The Italy international is the Catalan giants' No1 target for the summer.
However, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Verratti is having second thoughts about making a move to the Nou Camp.
It is said he is concerned that Barcelona may struggle to compete with Real Madrid for major honours under Valverde's tutelage.
And, with the World Cup in Russia next year on the horizon, Verratti is afraid of risking his place in the squad by joining a struggling Barcelona team.
Southampton are considering a move for Atletico Madrid's Luciano Vietto.
ESPN claim the Saints are interested in signing the 23-year-old after he impressed at Sevilla last term.
Vietto scored 10 goals last season but looks set to leave with Diego Costa's arrival imminent.
And Southampton would love for him to spearhead their exciting new era under Mauricio Pellegrino.
